First of all, I really enjoyed working at Michaels. My coworkers were nice, I loved helping people shop and live vicariously through their creativity, and the discount was really great around the holidays. ;) But the time had come for me to leave that job for one reason in particular. I'm moving back to the East coast! With OPSEC and all, I won't say when, but it's happening within the near future. And, as you may have guessed, this move will bring with it the end of deployment as well as being reunited with the love of my life! So this one little step "backward" is actually a really good thing over-all.
I really enjoy blogging, but it's not the most important thing in my life right now, or ever. I'm gonna even go out on a limb and say that once my marine is back in my arms I won't want to blog for quite a while. (But you won't blame me, right?) I started this blog on the eve of his deployment to help me cope, and this really has helped me a lot. I've learned so much from all of you bloggers and have made a handful of bloggy friends from all over the globe! That's priceless to me, and I feel truly blessed to have had this experience. I promise I won't drop off the face of the earth, I just won't be around as often. Unless, I'm feeling exceedingly crafty that is ;)
Speaking of crafting, I hope to post the things I made for my parents for Christmas this year. I think they really enjoyed it and both were pleasantly surprised at my DIY skills. Yesterday was my last day of work and for some reason I decided to break out my box of random jewelry pieces and start making things! I'll post about that soon too, I hope. Today I've been working on flower hair accessories and have been trying to get the right balance to make them look extra cute.
Life is great so far, I just can't wait for him to come home :) But that's typical in the life of Kelsey...
Oh and I got my hair cut/layered. I think that's pretty much it.
Thanks for reading ♥
More importantly, thanks for sticking around even when I don't post anything.
You're the best.
Awww!! Yay!!! Happy dance! I am soo excited you're finally getting to move back and soonish this deployment will be over for ya'll. Spending quality time with him instead of blogging, totally understandable. In fact, I would be a little worried otherwise. haha
ReplyDeleteSo happy for you!! Pop in every once in a while to let us know how you're doing :) Wishing you the best of luck with your new adventure!
